Do you stick strictly to one book at a time, or happily juggle two or more — and why does your way work best?
For me, the answer is simple: I only ever read one book at a time.
I’ve learned that I need to give my full attention to a single story, or I quickly get confused. If I try to pick up two or three books at once, the plots, characters, and details start blurring together in my head — and before I know it, I’m mixing up storylines and losing the thread of what’s happening.
Reading one at a time lets me truly absorb everything: the world the author builds, the emotions of the characters, and every little detail that makes the story feel complete. I can sink deep into the narrative without distraction, and I finish each book feeling like I’ve properly lived that journey from start to finish.
That said, I have so much respect for people who can tandem read — I honestly hold you all on a pedestal! Being able to keep multiple stories, settings, and casts separate in your mind sounds like a superpower to me. I wish I could do it, but I know my brain works best when it can focus fully on just one adventure at a time.
Let me know your thoughts!

J💛
