Sometimes the hype just doesn’t match the read — here are three that didn’t work for me:
🏒 Hunks Who Puck – Lina George
Everyone’s talking about hockey romance, so I gave it a go. But as my first sports‑based romance, I just couldn’t get into it — DNF’d at ~25%. Probably not picking up another one anytime soon.
💍 The Housemaid’s Wedding – Freida McFadden
I love Freida’s work, but this novella felt a bit pointless to me. Even though it’s short, I expected more from the series.
🤝 The Coworker – Freida McFadden
After the Housemaid books I was so excited — but this one fell flat. The twist was obvious early on, no guessing until the end like usual.
